Eczema | cause and cure
Eczema is a condition of skin become inflamed, itchy, cracked and rough. Different types and stages can be vary from one to ones. It's not contagious disease. Therefore, people with severe eczema will need more intensive treatment to relieve the symptoms.
The appearance of skin affected depends on how much a person scratches and whether or not the the skin is infected. Hence, scratching and rubbing can be irritate the skin, increase inflammation and make the itching worse.
In general, people with eczema trend to have very dry skin. Because the symptom causes defects on skin barrier. The skin barrier serves as protects irritants, bacteria, viruses and allergens from outside to the body. And also keeps moisture from getting out.
The most effective way to treat dry skin is the give it the moisture. Also retain the moisture of the skin. Bathing and moisturizing are very important, sometimes mentioned that try to put on moisturizer within 3 minutes after bath/shower in order to keep the skin moisture. The more oil in a moisturizer, the better it usually is at treating eczema.
